Welcome to the "Now Playing" release! This update is all about making it easier and more delightful to manage your active games across all your libraries. Whether you’re juggling multiple games or just want a smoother experience controlling your play sessions, this release brings a host of improvements to the Playnite Web experience.
🚀 Highlights of the Now Playing Release
🎛️ Unified Now Playing Experience
The new "Now Playing" UX gives authenticated users quick, always-available access to all games currently being played. From any page in the app, you can open a dedicated pane showing all your active games, complete with cover art, library info, and action buttons for restarting or stopping games. The pane is linkable, so you can easily share or bookmark your current session.

🕹️ Multi-Library, Multi-Game Support
Now Playing now supports multiple active games across all your libraries. The UI displays every game you’re playing, regardless of which library it’s from, making it easy to keep track of your gaming activity in one place.

📚 Clear Library Association for Active Games
Each active game now clearly shows which library it belongs to, helping you distinguish between games running in different libraries and making it easier to manage actions like stop or restart.

🔍 Seamless Game Details Access
You can now select any active game to view its details directly from the Now Playing pane, making it effortless to get more information or take action on any running game.

⚡ Streamlined Single Game Experience
If you only have one active game, Now Playing will take you straight to that game’s details and actions—no extra clicks required.

🛑 Effortless Game Control
You can now stop or restart any active game directly from the Now Playing pane, giving you more control without having to hunt through menus.

🖼️ Embeddable UX for Dashboards
Playnite Web can now be embedded in external dashboards (like Home Assistant) with a new URL that preserves your current view, even on refresh. Navigation is handled client-side, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience when controlling games remotely.
